Senior Environmental Noise & Vibration Engineer
Guelph, Toronto, Ottawa, or Windsor, ON
RWDI is seeking an energetic and motivated individual to join our Environmental Noise & Vibration team in Ontario as a Senior Scientist/Engineer. This position supports clients across buildings, infrastructure, and industrial sectors. The successful candidate will have five to twenty-five years’ experience working in the field, and specifically a depth of experience with environmental permitting and the land use planning process in Ontario. The successful applicant may also be considered for a supervisory role within the Environmental Noise & Vibration team.
The role includes but is not limited to:
- Engaging in peer review, design review, land use planning, EASR, ECA and hearing work
- Applying best practices and your knowledge of the Ontario regulatory environment to support RWDI’s clients and junior staff
- Supporting field measurement programs as needed
- Taking a leadership role on projects to ensure that the team delivers on time and on budget, will following a defined quality assurance process
- Taking a client-focused approach, where your technical skills support the success of your client’s projects
- Dependent on aptitude and interest, the successful applicant may be considered for a supervisory position within the team
Note that practitioners within the NAV team are purely technical. This role does not involve project management. There is, however, substantial opportunity to build relationships with clients and support the project management team.
We are accepting applications from candidates with the following qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in an applicable engineering discipline and eligibility to register with PEO as a P.Eng
- Applicants without P.Eng eligibility, but significant applicable experience may be considered
- Availability to work in-person in our Guelph, Toronto, Ottawa, or Windsor office
- Valid driver’s license

- Considerable experience in the Ontario context, particularly around land use planning and hearing support.
